Illustration

  • 2D Illustration
    • For vector-illustrations I've used Adobe Illustrator, and since I found out that the open-source solution Inkscape is very powerfull, I use that as well.
    • Anything related to image-editing that is no vector work is done in Photoshop, a standard solution for many years now. I also use the Gimp, the open-source companion to Photoshop.
    • I prefer to mock up my final layout in Indesign, which is a fast way to try several solutions and reach the final layout.
  • 3D Illustration
    • My Illustration strategy has changed over the years, but I always tend to search for solutions that combine several techniques. I push the limits of my technical knowledge, to speed up the design process, which leaves me time to take the illustration to the next level.
    • I now use Blender, which is open-source, and, incredible powerfull for 3D illustrations. Hang on for some examples, soon to come!
    • Personally I use 3D for illustration projects. And there's quite a few projects in the pipeline for 3D based childeren-illustrations.
